Ik doe mee met de MIND Blue Monday Run, want ik wil een psychisch gezonde samenleving voor iedereen!
Mentale gezondheid is enorm belangrijk en zeker niet vanzelfsprekend. Daarom zet ik mij in om zoveel mogelijk donaties op te halen voor MIND. Relaxed trail run with Tom and Fleur on her bike. Sightseeing Soesterduinen and around the military museum. With an additional dune loop for me as a bonus to get to 16km.
PR! 🎉 It was so cold… thought I run a bit faster to get it over and done with. 💪

Relaxed pace with some intervals
Try to keep my pace while running up and down the Acropolis hill. Bit warm but very scenic!
Interval run through the National gardens, the Olympic stadium, palace and the change of soldiers at Parlement. Definitely not the fastest run because of all the photo stops, but really enjoyed the total package today. 💝

Enjoying the last rays of sunshine of the day. Practising shorter steps and less ground contact (the floor is lava!).
Followed a pacer with a pretty constant pace. Felt good and strong. 💪 Fleur volunteered as a token scanner and had the best time too. 👌
Got bitten by an 🪰 at the end, so had to walk back home. Auch.
Perfect weather for a new PB! 💃💃💃 Could even push for a final sprint so I could photograph Tom finishing! 🚀

Squeezed in a run between work and getting Fleur from school. Went well. Considering raising my goals for my half marathon pace to 5:45 min/km. But lets first see how Sunday goes!

Raining cats and dogs here so decided to do my cardio Sunday in the pool.
Slow recovery run with Fleur on the scooter. Foot still itchy but it seems okay enough to pick up training again. 🤞
The new streamlined bathing suit probably makes the difference… 🤣🤪
Extra swim session. Little itch under my foot (hopefully no fasciitis plantar 🤞) so no running this week.
Quick start, surprisingly well kept my 4:55-5:00 PB and before I knew it there was the finish line! 🥳 never expected this being hungover from a night out.

No parkrun Saturday but a run along Salò boulevard. No drills, just enjoying the scenery. ❤️
Every three minutes a 10s sprint. Very hard as there are no flat areas here apart from the loop around the church square. 😅

Garmin didn’t pick up the first 800m for some reason. But pretty happy with the results as I had to stop and go multiple times with Floor on the scooter.

Started a bit earlier because of the heat. Still hot hot hot. 🥵 Lots of pelicans, dogs, a beautiful sunrise including a rainbow and an incoming Christmas tree / cruiseschip.
Challenging run in the heat. But we made it. Now time to relax at the beach. 🏖️

Slow recovery jog after the long Saturday run. Day later than planned due to food poisoning on day 1 of our holidays. Big struggle due to being weak, the heat and the humidity. But loved running along the beach again! 🏝️

Lots of dogs off the leash so had to slow down multiple times. Also included some trails which were very slippery.

Decided to run into the city but hit lots of traffic lights. Felt heavy from start to finish, did not get into the rhythm of it. But hey it’s done!
Volunteered together with Rooney. Only runners today so we followed the pace of the last runner and did a steady and very enjoyable jog together.
Couldn’t sleep so started a bit earlier. First km was very dark, after that all was good. Wasn’t my best run but it’s done.

We cancelled Thursday and Friday because of the snow and ice. Parkrun this morning was cancelled too. Decided to give it a go now and it was fine, just be careful with a few icy parts. Training: 2x100 m fast and 900m relaxed 2x200 m fast and 800m relaxed 2x300 m fast and 700m relaxed
Interval session. My legs were very heavy still from the weekend. Joan paced me through it. 🏃🏼♀️ 🏃 💨 Completed a bit more than Garmin calculated. 💪
Used it as my long slow run so I was happy it was a bit more then the 10km I signed up for. Quit windy and lots of rain. Loved the single tracks but the asphalt not so much.

Lekker rondje buiten spelen met Joan. Started off in the dark and soon the sun came out. Joan clocked 11,6km with a pace of 7:14. Big difference in watches!
